The Saxon watchmaking industry took a new course when, for the first time, it launched a watch with the LANGE ZEITWERK STRIKING TIME three years ago. Now there is the masterpiece with the exact jumping digits also in red gold with argenté-colored dial and red gold hands. At the LANGE ZEITWERK STRIKING TIME, important parts of the percussion are visibly integrated into the dial design. On each side of the small second you can see the steel hammers equipped with a black polish: right for the quarter hours, left for the full hour. Also noticeable are the two tone springs, which are embedded in a recess between the dial and the bezel. Every 15 minutes, the mechanism releases a beat on one of the two tone springs. Three times, a higher tone sounds the quarter-hours, before a lower-pitched tone sounds at the full hour. The beater can be turned off if you do not want to be disturbed at night or during a meeting.
